RemoteSite Support Program

Would you like to know that the critical backbone of your network – your servers – are being reviewed, monitored, and maintained, remotely?

RemoteSite-Session

  • Monitor your network on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) through remote sessions.
  • Server application, system and security log checks (review errors and warnings)
  • Server storage review (utilization of disk space, etc.)
  • Anti-Virus - Log check, verify definitions, settings, perform scans, and notify of product updates
  • Backup - Log check, verify completion, check for exceptions and errors, and notify of product updates
  • UPS log check
  • Task Manager review - verify memory usage, check for unauthorized applications or processes
  • Firewall reporting where applicable and depending upon capabilities of device- check for unauthorized entry, statistics, sites visited, and notify of product updates
  • Remote access/VPN testing upon customer request
  • License monitoring
  • Product recall monitoring

RemoteSite-Patch

Monthly server maintenance that is best done off-hours and in a dedicated session, ensuring that your servers and critical server applications are updated with the latest software.

  • BIOS and firmware upgrades
  • Server management console updates
  • Service pack installation (operating system and main system applications).  Note: excludes end user applications.
  • Microsoft critical updates application (security or bug fixes too critical for next service pack)
  • License monitoring (if not covered in onsite).
  • Server-downtime is coordinated with clients

These two RemoteSite components work together to ensure that that backbone of your network is being maintained properly.  RemoteSite works best when combined with a regular Onsite Maintenance program. If issues arise that require additional time from an engineer, BEI will first notify the Customer and get approval before performing any work outside the fixed RemoteSite Session.

RemoteSite Client Profiles

A financial services firm with 20 employees uses the RemoteSite program to supplement their OnSite visits. In this firm OnSite visits tend to be very busy with end-user issues in addition to regular maintenance. RemoteSites enable BEI to focus on the server portion of their network during specific time periods.  BEI is in their office three out of every four weeks; during the off-week there is a RemoteSite session to ensure that their network is operating well. In addition, because their OnSite sessions are so busy, a monthly RemoteSite-Patch session addresses server updates.

A medium-sized medical practice has a weekly RemoteSite as the main focus of their regular network maintenance.  The RemoteSite, combined with an in-house staff person and BEI service calls when needed, keeps their network running well and supporting the needs of their business.

A health services company with a staff of over 100 uses the RemoteSite to supplement their in-house staff as well as their regular OnSite visits.  Their relatively large user base and ongoing end-user issues make it very important to set aside time to ensure that server issues are addressed.
