Microsoft just announced immediate availability for Exchange Online Deskless Worker and SharePoint Online Deskless Worker. Targeted at organizations with staff who don't need the full Outlook client, these services make it very affordable to spread email and collaboration through out virtually any organization. Email uses the OWA (Outlook Web Access) interface and is quite full-featured; purchasing Outlook is not required. The SharePoint capabilities are great for users who use SharePoint sites for reference and contribute occasionally.
Note that you can mix Standard Exchange Online and Standard SharePoint Online with their Deskelss counterparts within one organization. This mixture of capabilities is ideal for many service and retail organizations.
